Brilliant, brilliant game. As with Overload you have to spend a little time with it to work things out. Not quite sure what the purple squares mean, and how you earn them but I seem to be progressing. Very well done game! The only proper Tower Defense game I know on the C64.

Yes, this is intended. You can earn 64 squares and 16 triangles but spend 85 squares and 18 triangles to max out the tree. You can reset your tree and respend or work with a second tree and alternate two settings.
I absolutely love this game! Tower defense is one of my favorite genres, and this title hits all the marks. It’s incredibly addictive, the music and graphics are top-notch, and the controls—both joystick and keyboard—are super intuitive.
The upgrade management, pause feature, and auto-wave progression make the gameplay seamless. I also appreciate the toggle between music and SFX. What more could you ask for? Maybe a sequel in the future! This was well worth the $25 for me. Huge congrats to the developers! :-)
