Missile Defence
A downloadable game
There are two dead safe methods to survive a nuclear attack with ICBMs. Defence with anti missiles and "Duck and Cover" where a simple desk will defy a multi megaton nuke. Your mission is to protect six major cities against a global nuclear attack, else perish with them.
You control three anti ICBM missile launch sites, if you run out of missiles or all your launch sites are destroyed you are out of luck until the end of the stage.
Target and fire your missiles using the joystick in port 2 or the 1351 mouse in port 1.
Keyboard control:
- M : music on/off
- D : toggle single or dual SID
- 1, 2, 3 : mouse speed
The game has two soundtracks, one for a single SID and one for dual SIDs. The second SID must be located at $d420 for this to work. The game will attempt to detect the second SID, but you can manually switch between the two by pressing the D key if it does not work.

Wow best Missile Defence game I have played, very playable and addictive. Very nice looking with great music. Dual SID support! I wish more developers would do this.
BTW: I am with the others that wish the game saved to a five score high table. Even the one score would be fantastic. 🙏

Any chance of having a High Score board added or to save the high score to disk so that you can try to beat your current score later on? Great game BTW, I loved it! :)

This is the best missile command game I have played on the c64. Close to being as good as the Atari version. The mouse support works so good in this game. Wish more c64 developers add support for mouse. The only thing missing is a high score table saved to disk. Good work!
Very impressive, only thing I don't like is the lack of arcade-style colour changes.
