Broken Altars
A downloadable game
You are the well known archeologist Fumbling Fred, renowned for his successful rebuilding of ancient ruins from more than sketchy details while pocketing some undisclosed amounts of gold. Thus well endowed with academic laurels and the necessary funding, you take on the quest to rebuild sixteen ancient altars that have been broken thousands of years ago.
All archaeologists start with a basic pickaxe and acquire additional tools buying from a shop in between excavation campaigns. You collect gold and altar pieces. Once you buy the ancient papyri showing the layout of the altar to rebuild, you can try to piece the collected fragments back together to advance to the next.
The game is designed to work best with mouse and keyboard control, but can also be played with joystick alone or joystick and keyboard.
It was tested on emulators, actual C64 and C128 (using turbo mode) and C64Ultimate. The game was intended to be played on PAL systems but works reasonably well on NTSC.

Oooh! Very impressive! 😍
Very nice game!
Cool! Mouse support is such a rarity, but now we have lots more potential users with the C64U and stuff like the Mouster.
Fred Fumble fumbles fragile, fractured fragments from forgotten, fallen altars.
In short: Nice game :-)
